From the pilot at Legia Training Center to the stadium: an energy platform for efficient operation, grid stability and protection of critical stadium functions.

The project
The programme starts at Legia Training Center, where the battery can be designed, connected and operated under real conditions. This experience forms the basis for the significantly larger stadium solution.
A December evening match makes the benefit immediately clear: if the grid fails, safe match operations must continue. A suitably designed system can switch to island mode and supply predefined loads — floodlights, safety, communications and operations — until the final whistle. This requires grid-forming inverters, secure switching, protection and black-start concepts, and tested operating procedures.
The battery is not only for emergencies. Dynamic operation combines load management, power-market optimisation and grid services. The system works economically every day while maintaining the agreed match-day reserve.
The 2 MW / 5 MWh pilot at the Training Center creates reliable operating data. A 6 MW / 15 MWh stadium solution follows. Both sites are intended to be managed together and provide a model transferable to other clubs and sports venues.
